Bake along with your radio on New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve I'm going to be part of a unique live radio broadcast on WFMT in Chicago, (along with former Bitchin' Babe MEGON McDONOUGH!  AND others (who I haven't met yet) which will be streamed live on http://www.wfmt.org from 10 PM (Central Time) to 1:15 AM.  I plan to sing "Sunday Breakfast With Christine" which is my petit pain au chocolat bread recipe you start the night before, so, theoretically, you could start the bread while listening to the radio show, finish it on New Year's morning.

Here's the link to the recipe:  https://christinelavin.com/index.php?page=songs&category=I_DON-amp--num-039-scol-T_MAKE_THIS_STUFF_UP-elipsis-_I_JUST_MAKE_IT_RHYME&display=710 so you'll know what ingredients you'll need to have on hand.

Yes, it takes 10-1/2 hours from start to finish -- but trust me, it's not that difficult since seven of those hours you'll be sleeping!  And what a way to start the year, baking something really fancy.  It's perfect for you Type A personalities:  you can say "I'm not wasting time sleeping -- I'm baking petit pain au chocolat!"

If, however, you find it daunting to work with live yeast, you can do my other favorite overnight recipe, "French Toast Bread Pudding"  https://christinelavin.com/index.php?page=news&category=RECIPES&display=1439.  This one only takes 15 minutes to prepare (also the night before) -- then in the morning you just pop it in the oven.

So tune in on New Year's Eve and bake along with me!

Ciao!
Christine
