PAT WHITEMAN Something That I Wanted You To Know

from HILLARY ROLLINS PRESENTS: CHRISTINE LAVIN & FRIENDS LIVE AT McCABE'S GUITAR SHOP

Sorry if I woke you

I’m callin’ kind of late

These words, they don’t come easy

But I’m trying to be brave

I don’t expect an answer,

There’s no need to reply

Just to hear you listenin’

Is like a lullaby

After all this time

My face must be a shadow in your dreams

The years they go by

But I still remember every little thing

There has never been a moment

That I haven’t loved you so

It’s just something that I wanted you to know

Do you ever miss me

Or wonder how I am

I guess I’m pretty happy

But nothing like I planned

Remember when you held me

How it always made me cry

I’ll never let you go

And I don’t even know if I want to try

After all this time

My face must be a shadow in your dreams

The years they go by

But I still remember every little thing

There has never been a moment

That I haven’t loved you so

It’s just something that I wanted you to know

Something that I wanted you to know

I needed you so bad

I didn’t know what I had

You were the best I had known

But I had to be alone

And though my heart will finally mend

The way I feel will never end

After all this time

My face must be a shadow in your dreams

The years they go by

But I still remember every little thing

There has never been a moment

That I haven’t loved you so

It’s just something that I wanted you to know

Something that I wanted you to know

I wanted you to know
