Betty Ann brought a bucket of swamp water to 9th grade biology class many years ago, setting into motion the idea for my song "Amoeba Hop." I hadn't seen her since 1968 . . . til she showed up at my concert one night and I brought her onstage to present her with a copy of the book . . . that is dedicated to her! That look on her face is priceless!
